OUR STORY
Founded in 2011 by Rory Evans and Daniel Hughes, Illusion Design &
Construct Ltd began with a vision to transform creative ideas into tangible realities. Starting in borrowed workshops, the company quickly built a reputation for delivering exceptional scenic designs.
By 2012, with a permanent workshop in North London and a growing team, Illusion Design & Construct embarked on a journey of expansion and innovation.
After 5 years in Bermondsey, we moved to Belvedere in 2019, where we now operate out of over 58,000 square feet of state-of-the-art facilities.
Our dedicated team of over 55 permanent professionals, supported by a huge network of expert freelancers, is committed to redefining creativity and craftsmanship in scenic design.

OUR FACILITIES
Our Belvedere workshops are equipped with state-of-the-art machinery including CNC, carpentry, engineering, and scenic art capabilities.
With over 58,000 square feet of workshop and secure yard space, as well as large storage facilities, we can handle projects of any scale while ensuring your creations are kept secure and in perfect condition.
SUSTAINABILITY
At Illusion Design & Construct, sustainability is integral to our operations:
- Reduce: We use efficient production methods minimising raw material waste and invest in stock items meaning that we can quite often offer a ‘hired’ alternative to bespoke items.
- Reuse: Whenever possible, we repurpose bespoke items or dismantle them for other projects.
- Recycle: Non-reusable materials are either converted into energy to heat our premises or recycled through local facilities, ensuring minimal environmental impact.
