“TOI” Immersive Experience We’re excited to see TOI open in Paris - @weare_moir 's newest immersive experience and another project we’re proud to have helped bring to life. Working alongside MOIR’s creative team and Technical Production Services has been a genuine pleasure. TOI is ambitious in scale and detail, and it’s been rewarding to shape the physical environments that support its blend of illusion, interactivity, and real-time responsiveness. Bringing ten unique sensory universes to life - each filled with illusion-based environments, interactive technology, and real-time responsive elements - has been a rewarding challenge. Every room demanded its own blend of creative engineering, spatial problem-solving, and detailed craftsmanship to support the personality-driven journey that defines TOI. This is our second major collaboration with MOIR, following the Brussels installation, and it’s inspiring to see how the concept has evolved. The early audience response - over 10,000 tickets in the first two weeks - speaks for itself. A huge well done to MOIR, TPS, and everyone involved. Paris, enjoy the experience!

At Illusion Design & Construct, we’re proud to have brought The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry to life for its upcoming run at Chichester Festival Theatre’s Minerva stage. This project has been particularly rewarding, not just creatively, but ethically. ♻️ Sustainable in Action Working to the client’s brief, we embraced the challenge to build within parameters that support sustainability: at least 50% of materials sourced from reused or recycled origins, and a minimum of 65% of the set destined for future use or storage. In an industry often marked by excess and waste, it’s been genuinely fulfilling to divert materials from the shredder and give them a second life on stage. There’s also a secret history woven into this set. @secret_cinema presents Casino Royale What a privilege it was to recreate the iconic world of James Bond @007 brought to life in intricate detail at a scale beyond any film lovers' imagination, full of glamour, deception, and plenty of secrets lurking around every corner. Over 120,000 civilians were recruited by M16 for Operation WILDCARD. They had the opportunity to visit several international locations featured in the film, spend the evening sipping martinis while scoping out the casino, or unravel the dark underworld of the most infamous criminal organisations. From the shady backstreets in Venice, and bustling markets in Madagascar, to an interactive Q Branch at the heart of MI6, you were eventually led to Montenegro and the newly opened Casino Royale. Inside the Immersive Stranger Things Experience At @secret_cinema presents Stranger Things, audience members were transported back to the ’80s, stepping into the world of the award-winning @netflix show. Fans, now residents of Hawkins, Indiana, were invited to explore the mysterious goings-on in the seemingly sleepy town. They roamed iconic locations from the show, including the 4th of July Funfair, The Hideaway Bar, Hopper’s Cabin, and the brand-new Starcourt Mall. Within the mall, we curated and built an authentic ’80s arcade—with @cocacola taking center stage. 🥤🕹️ Guests were welcomed to the Hawkins High School Reunion, assigned a clique, and fully immersed in the world of Stranger Things, complete with side missions, live performances, and more! 💄@maccosmetics launched six Limited Edition Starcourt Mall lipsticks, inspired by the cliques, available online and at the event in their very own bespoke brand activation. Illusion delivered the Frozen Enchanted Forest part of DISNEY: THE CASTLE a live music experience in #BlvdCity, Riyadh. The project's design features an infinity mirror room that transforms into an immersive enchanted forest, complete with stylised trees and whimsical hanging swings. A breathtaking grid of glowing crystals, suspended from above, adds a magical touch. Each of the four monoliths surrounding the space showcases specific elemental effects (earth, fire, water, and wind), immersing visitors in captivating lighting, sound, and video experiences. Watch as the lighting transitions from an autumnal forest to a frozen, icy landscape. At the heart of the room lies an interactive floor projection, dancing in harmony with the lighting and video design. The show’s finale includes a surprise appearance by Elsa herself, performing our beloved Frozen songs, Into the Unknown and Let It Go, through a two-way mirror with an LED screen behind it. The IICON that Lives On – Back at Glastonbury for Another Epic Year! 🌟 First unveiled in 2019, IICON remains one of our proudest achievements at Illusion. We’re honoured to have built this monumental structure, which has become a centrepiece of the legendary @block9offical fields at @glastofest. Taking the form of a colossal, anonymised head, IICON is a pseudo-religious monument to the terrifying new realities emerging in our digital, post-truth age. Creating an immersive audio-visual arena, this immense sculptural artwork is animated by state-of-the-art video mapping, delivering a vision of future music from the cutting edge of today’s underground. One of the highlights was the creative problem-solving and R&D necessary to bring Steve and Gideon’s vision to life at such a scale. Creating this organic form involved CNC-cut plywood and steel formers stretched with canvas, which were then coated with polyurethane foam that was sculpted, hard-coated, and painted. It was a crucial part of the brief for this 20m high, 35m wide, and 31m deep structure to last and have the ability to tour. Constructed from over 500 formers, the 40 modular panels fit into 20 custom-made transport stillages, which in turn occupy seven 40ft shipping containers. Bridge Command’s interactive features! 👀 Our task was to transcend the limitations of traditional set fabrication, developing each detail to evoke the authentic feeling of being aboard a spacecraft. To achieve this, we designed every component that appears interactable to be so, with no gimmicks. We designed, constructed and supplied two fully operational spacecrafts to serve as the centerpiece for an immersive theatre and gaming experience. The client provided a rendered image of the bridge of one spacecraft, serving as our starting point for developing the remaining design elements. While we assumed responsibility for the design process, we followed specific directives regarding key elements that were crucial to incorporate.
